Hi, I am artist Chuck Whelon. I create comics, games, books, and more. Planet Urf Entertainment® is my publishing imprint. Thanks for visiting!

I live in San Francisco, California. I am a member of the National Cartoonists Society, and am represented for commissions by the Beehive Illustration Agency.

My earliest published work was my webcomic “Pewfell: The Worst Wizard on Urf”, which was one of the charter strips on ModernTales.com. Following that I created several series of activity books for Dover Publications, illustrated boardgames for Minion Games, and created a set of seasonal books search-and-find books that have been published worldwide. Since 2004 I have drawn covers, cartoons, maps, monsters and other even weirder things for Goodman Games.

In 2020 I published “Urfspace: Cartoons of the Future“, a collection of sci-fi themed cartoons. There are now also two Urfspace™ art books and a music album: “The Future Sounds of Urfspace“, featuring original tracks from local and international artists, including Urfspace cartoon band “Astrokitty and the Urfspace 5”.
