More about Urfspace Heroes

Sci-Fi Hero Art Book

Urfspace Heroes is a bold and imaginative sci-fi hero art book that unleashes a new breed of brave-hearted warriors and genetically mutated ultra beings upon the galaxy. Strong, sexy, strange, and sometimes utterly useless, these characters embody the full spectrum of heroism—from the inspiring to the absurd.

Futuristic Warrior Illustrations

Across 80 pages of full-color artwork, Chuck Whelon delivers stunning futuristic warrior illustrations that span the Urfspace universe. From gleaming towers of advanced technotopias to the shadowy depths of primitive back-world dungeons, these heroes roam the farthest reaches of imagination.

Indie Comic-Style Superheroes

This collection introduces indie comic-style superheroes who parody and reinvent classic tropes of the genre. Some heroes are destined to soar like eagles, others are doomed to stumble—but all are unforgettable. With Whelon’s trademark mix of satire, playfulness, and detail, each page feels like a mini-comic in itself.

Mutant Hero Cartoons by Chuck Whelon

As part of the ever-expanding Urfspace project, these mutant hero cartoons by Chuck Whelon blur the line between parody and prophecy. Whether they are heralds of a new age or terrifying omens of impending doom, only you can decide. The art is paired with witty captions, short stories, and poems, making this not just a visual feast but a narrative one.

Illustrated Sci-Fi Poetry and Stories

Alongside the artwork, Whelon includes illustrated sci-fi poetry and stories that give each character depth and personality. These written pieces add layers of humor, drama, and cosmic weirdness to the visual spectacle, making Urfspace Heroes both an art book and a storytelling experience.
