Description
Meet Pewfell, the Worst Wizard in Fantasy
Pewfell in Welcome to Spirekassle is the hilarious first volume of Chuck Whelon’s long-running fantasy comedy graphic novel series. This book introduces readers to the chaotic city of Spirekassle and its most hapless inhabitant—Pewfell Porfingles, a half-competent wizard who would much rather take naps and dodge responsibilities than battle monsters or save the world.
Humorous Wizard Comic with a Twist
Pewfell isn’t your average hero. His potions are unreliable, his judgment is questionable, and his ambitions rarely stretch beyond avoiding honest work. Fortunately, he’s married to Tina the Warrior Princess—a strong, capable fighter whose sense of duty and sword skills more than make up for Pewfell’s slacking. Together, they stumble through life in Spirekassle, where orcs, goblins, and eccentric neighbors create more trouble than Pewfell would ever sign up for.
What Happens in This Volume
In Welcome to Spirekassle, Tina suddenly finds herself out of work due to a shortage of orc settlements to pillage. With the family’s main source of income cut off, Pewfell must attempt something far outside his comfort zone—actually working. From failed potion sales to botched schemes, readers are treated to a string of laugh-out-loud episodes that cement Pewfell as one of the most lovable underachievers in fantasy comics.
Epic Fantasy Cartoon Series
The Pewfell series combines the traditions of sword-and-sorcery adventures with sharp satire, visual gags, and witty dialogue. With influences from Terry Pratchett’s Discworld, classic RPGs, and Saturday morning cartoons, Pewfell offers a uniquely illustrated world that pokes fun at fantasy tropes while building an imaginative universe all its own.
A Satirical Sword and Sorcery World
Spirekassle is not your average medieval fantasy city. It’s a place where monsters live around the corner, rent is due on time, and adventurers still have to pay the bills. The humor is sharp, the characters unforgettable, and the absurd situations relatable to anyone who’s ever tried (and failed) to avoid responsibility.
